Following a tournament
How do I find my tournament?
Open the link your organiser or team shared, or browse the tournaments on the tourno.fi home page. All tournament pages are public.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Everything runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Spectators never create accounts or install anything — the tournament link is all you need.
How do live scores and tables work?
Moderators at the pitch update the games as they happen, and the pages refresh themselves while games are on — no reloading needed. A green score pill next to a team in a table means that team is playing right now, and the pill shows the live score.
How do I follow my own team?
Tap the star next to your team on the tournament page — your team's next game is then always waiting at the top. Every team also has its own page with its group table, results and full schedule: one link for the whole tournament.
What do the badges like FINAL or BRONZE mean?
Knockout and placement games carry a badge for their stage: final, bronze game, semi-final or placement game. If a game is decided on penalties, the shootout is shown under the score — kick by kick.
What is the chat bubble on the tournament pages?
That is the Tourno Assistant — an AI helper that knows the tournament's schedule, results, standings and info. Ask it anything in Finnish, Swedish or English: "When do we play next?", "Who won the final?", "Where can we park?"
What does the small lock on a table mean?
A closed lock means the organiser has locked the standings — the positions are official and no longer recalculated. An open lock means the table can still change as results come in.
Can I change the language?
Yes — the site works in Finnish, Swedish and English. Switch from the menu; your choice is remembered on your device. The Tourno Assistant answers in whichever language you write to it.
Teams & registration
How do I register a team for a tournament?
Either through the personal invitation link your club received by email, or through the tournament's public registration form. Pick your competitions, fill in the contact details and send — you get a confirmation email automatically.
Can I register several teams?
Yes. One application can contain teams in several competitions, and you can add more teams later: your confirmation email contains your personal application link, which brings you back to the same application — no new forms, no duplicates.
I did not receive a confirmation email — what now?
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, contact the tournament organiser — their contact details are on the tournament pages and on the registration form — and they can resend the confirmation.
How do I pay the participation fee?
Participation fees are set and collected by the tournament organiser, usually by an emailed invoice with the payment details. Questions about fees, discounts or due dates go to the organiser — tourno.fi does not handle the money between teams and organisers.
How do I change or cancel a registration?
Open your personal application link to review what you have registered. For changes or cancellations, contact the organiser directly — they can update your application, competitions and teams.
Where can our players and parents follow our games?
Share your team's page — it has your group table, your results and your full schedule, updating live. No app, no account: the link works for everyone, in three languages.
Organising a tournament
How do I get started as an organiser?
Create an account at tourno.fi and set up your tournament: competitions, groups and schedules. Building the whole tournament is completely free — and your tournament stays out of sight while you work on it. When everything is ready, you make it public and the tournament pages open to the world.
Can one tournament have several age groups and levels?
Yes — run as many competitions as you like inside one tournament: age groups, competitive and challenge levels, girls' and boys' series. Each gets its own groups, schedule and placement games under the same tournament pages.
How do results get updated during the tournament?
Your moderators use their phones at the pitchside: start and finish games, update scores, record penalty shootouts and fix mistakes with a reset. Every update flows instantly to the public pages, the venue screens and the Tourno Assistant.
Can I show live standings on TVs at the venue?
Yes. One click opens the Matchday board on any TV or projector with a browser: standings and results rotate automatically, goals get celebrated, and everything stays in sync with your moderators' updates — all weekend, or all week, on its own.
How do invitations and registrations work for organisers?
Invite clubs by email with personal invitation links, open a public registration link, or both. Applications collect in your organiser view with automatic confirmation emails to the applicants, and you decide which competitions each team plays in.
Can tourno handle the team payments and invoicing?
Yes — record team payments against their applications, and send invoices and payment reminders by email straight from tourno. The money side of a hundred-team tournament stays organised without a single spreadsheet.
What about referees and team arrivals?
Assign referees to games and pitches and keep the whole crew's program in one view. On tournament morning, check teams in as they arrive so you can see at a glance who is still missing.
Can our sponsors be visible on the pages?
Yes — sponsor logos live on the tournament pages, where every player, parent and coach looks throughout the tournament. Real, measurable visibility you can show your partners.
Pricing, languages & privacy
What does tourno cost?
The whole price list: 8€ per participating team. Building your tournament is completely free, there is nothing to pay up front, and the usage invoice arrives by email only after the tournament is over. If the tournament never happens, you pay nothing at all.
Which languages does tourno support?
Finnish, Swedish and English — across every page, every email and the Tourno Assistant. Visitors switch language from the menu with one tap.
How is personal data handled?
Contact details from registrations are used only to run the tournament — confirmations, invoices and tournament communication. The public pages show only what the competition needs. Read more in our privacy policy.
Something looks wrong on a page — what should I do?
Try the refresh button first. For questions about scores, schedules or registrations, the fastest route is the tournament organiser or the Tourno Assistant on the tournament pages. For technical problems with the site itself, email us at support@tourno.fi.
